There are four categories of permissions as follows. While this is largely a player-facing distinction, you should still familiarize yourself with these as you are expected to perform certain levels of oversight for each one.
Admin/Restricted
- Server rules and systems documentation, e.g. Downtime and Approved Content.
- Editable only by staff members.
Lore
- General information about the world, e.g. Avia and Lithosphere, as well as anything related to ongoing quests. The information on these pages is generally considered common knowledge to the average adventurer, or well-read commoner.
- Editable by all user accts (login required). New pages creatable only by staff. Players can submit a General Ticket to request a new page to be made.
- Errors caught and corrected through DM and staff oversight. DMs oversight their own pages, joint oversight of common pages like Avia.
Community
- Server writings that are not generalized enough to count for Lore. This includes backstory locations and NPCs, player initiatives (e.g. community center), PCs, and certain specific pages we can designate (e.g. Corvus Countryside for player housing).
- Editable and new pages creatable by all user accts (login required).
- Errors caught and corrected by, theoretically, anyone. Staff should keep a loose eye on these pages for general accuracy where possible.
Unofficial
- Player Wild West: a free space for players to flesh out their characters, expand on backstory details that never got used, document events that didn't make it to Lore or Community, etc.
- As long as it is in-world/in-character and within your rights, you can make a page for it (this means no making up/retconning history, writing other people's characters).
- Editable and new pages creatable by all user accts (login required).
