Once you’ve graduated from your @Training Wheels, you are able to create and use your own custom monster blocks.

Creating Custom Blocks

Avrae reads bestiaries from Critter DB. If you want to import your own monsters for use with the bot, you need to create an account here and create them first.

 1. Once you’ve made your account, navigate to My Critters and click the + icon to make a new bestiary. From there, you can create your monster block.
 2. There are six main portions to the creature form. Most of the form can be filled out at your will. Avrae will read stats, HP and AC, skill and save bonuses, and damage resistances, vulnerabilities, and immunities.
 3. Avrae will not read any abilities, actions, etc. with the exception of attacks that are written in the default format. Use Generate Attack or copy the format from an existing attack.

NOTE: When parsing attacks, Avrae will read the initial damage value as well as one additional damage value specified within the same sentence. All other values will be ignored, and Avrae will not roll any saves.

Importing Monsters

Once you’ve created all your monsters, you can add them to Avrae by running !bestiary import
. Keep in mind that you can have only one active bestiary at a time. You can view your current active bestiary with !bestiary and swap to a different one with !bestiary
. Update your active bestiary with !bestiary update.
